Compensation System Design: Developing Pay Ranges to Maximize Your Payroll Investment

For many government contractors, compensation frequently accounts for 30-50% operating expenses. Well-designed compensation systems help organizations manage costs and improve employees’ performance and motivation. In this presentation, you will learn how to implement market-based pay structures that will help your organization best compete for talent and target financial resources where they are most needed.  In this presentation, you will learn about:

  • Why compensation matters and compensation economics;
  • The process for developing a market-based compensation program, including identifying your compensation philosophy and defining the markets in which you compete for talent;
  • Policies and procedures needed for successful, consistent compensation practices; and
  • A system for providing market-competitive compensation and salary increases over time.
